Can you feel the changing location of the sun in our skies? Is there a snap or chill in the air (Northern States)? Do you feel a pull to travel to the goes within place? The Autumnal Equinox is fast upon us as the Sun enters Libra at 5:05 AM EST. The balancing for a brief while of light and dark offers a moment of for us to pause to reflect, a sense of being out of time briefly as Grandmother Earth takes a great inhale. This is a time for celebration of the Summer's harvest ...a time to reflect on the bounty of your hard work, give thanks for the blessings that you have, and make preparations for the coming winter months. As the light and dark is balanced, may the light and dark within you be also balanced.
I adapted the words from a beautiful poem from an Autumn Ritual that reflects the Beauty of this Season:
I have a light in the darkness
A light for the coming days
I have a light to follow
I find joy in all I do
I bring joy to all I love
Joy will flow in my life
In the North the winds will be gentle
In the West the days end will cradle me
In the South the warmth be with me
In the East the Sun will shine on me
The Power of Life Reverberates within me!

Intuition
I was recently asked how do you determine inutition from impulsivenes. Good Question. I know that intuition not properly grounded can be misleading or used to justify actions. Also, we often don't trust our intuition because we really don't know ourselves and are so used to having something or someone externally telling us what to do, how, to do it, when to do it. It is by developing the proper self/subconscious thought patterns that we learn to understand them first.
Music is a way for me to develop intution - I become lost in the vibrations and sounds that opens me up to possibilities. I also meditate on the Tarot Major Arcana (usually one card per week, sometimes two). I write down what impressions I receive, I think about how that relates to me right now what is the lesson... etc.
In this day and age we are bombarded by so many messages via computers, television, phones, music it is difficult for us to have controlled impressions unless we spend time in meditation daily, with discipline.
Working with Tarot in my relationship to the Divine, I know that I can received the extra energies, gifts, mental/emotional intuitive impressions I need to manifest better experiences.
As it often happens in studies and walking a path, there comes a familiarity that results in staleness, boredom that leads to frustration. All this as a result of not holding my attention or intentions on the One Power that directs consciousness...

Magical Mind Meditation
If someone asks My abode,
I reply:
”The east edge of
The Milky Way.
Life is a drifting cloud
Bound by nothing.
I just let go
Giving myself up
To the whim of the wind.”
Ryōkan (1758–1831) is one of Japan’s most-loved and most-renowned poets. After formal training at a Zen monastery, he refused to head his own temple and instead lived as a wandering monk around Mt. Kugami. This journey allowed his spirit to become one with humanity, and he found that rare balance of living both in the physical and materials worlds. Ryōkan wrote many poems, but was never published.

Welcome to the place of my magical mind meta musings. You may wonder how I came up with such a title ... I liked the alliteration. And I would like to think that my thoughts are an 'elegant tapestry of thoughts, musings, and auto-biographical mirrors of self reflection. I love to collect quotes, think about ideas, and share. Hopefully you do as well. Walk In Beauty.
