Spring & Rebirth

It seems that my winter has lasted for three years as I've lain fallow from writing. Finding old papers certainly triggers the urge again ...So I will begin gently and start once more.

May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

Within each of us is a spirit yearning to be set free. May you all experience love and Beauty in this lifetime.

If we hold fast to the distinction between today and tomorrow and yesterday, we are holding fast to nothingness.

Better enjoy the eternal and undivided, divine now.

Meister Eckhart
Christian mystic

“Beauty enthrones itself, giving itself to the parts as to the sum.”

These are my favorite lyrics ... Today, May 17, 1971 ... Spirit made itself known to me:

Lyrics to I Am A Servant by Larry Norman :
I am a servant, I am listening for my name,
I sit here waiting, I've been looking at the game
That I've been playing, and I've been staying much the same
When you are lonely, you're the only one to blame.

I am a servant, I am waiting for the call,
I've been unfaithful, so I sit here in the hall.
How can you use me when I've never given all,
How can you choose me when you know I'd quickly fall.

So you feed my soul and you make me grow,
And you let me know you love me.
And I'm worthless now, but I've made a vow,
I will humbly bow before thee.
O please use me, I am lonely.

I am a servant getting ready for my part,
There's been a change, a rearrangement in my heart.
At last I'm learning, there's no returning once I start.
To live's a privilege, to love is such an art
But I need your help to start,
O please purify my heart, I am your servant

The Heart of Service: Lynne W. Twist, a founder of The Hunger Project, expressed in an essay on The Heart of Service: "People think service is a kind of charity -- strong people giving to weak people, healthy people giving to sick people, rich people giving to poor people, together people giving to people who aren't so together.

To me, true service is an experience of wholeness, fulfillment, fullness, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency for all parties -- an experience of the magnificence and infinite capacity of human beings. When I'm really in service, I disappear. My identity is no longer present. I am one with he or she or that which I am serving. It is actually an experience of God, of unity and wholeness. There is nobody giving and nobody receiving. None of that is happening. There is only an experience of unity. We begin to see that we are the expression of one soul."

“Laughter is a symptom of spirituality. Laughter is the flow of love coursing through your body. Laughter is the nectar of present moment awareness. Invite more laughter into your life and relish the magic in every moment.” ~~~David Simon
